Fulvio Bianconi created this piece using a cutting-edge glassmaking technique in the 1900s. The technique involves layering thin rectangular strips of glass on top of each other, and then applying them by hand to a conical base made of blown glass. The piece features a blend of iridescent green and aquamarine tones, as well as iridescent sand and red. Despite its timeless appearance, it was actually made in 1989.
